Civil society’s role in combating judicial corruption in Central America

This 2007 report, titled "Civil society’s role in combating judicial corruption in Central America," was published by Transparency International's global corruption report, and describes a new wave of monitoring and accountability initiatives in the region.

These initiatives are aimed directly at combating corruption in response to the failure of institutional mechanisms to address unethical behaviour in the judiciary. The report describes in more detail certain examples of some interesting initiatives we have encountered in the region and their perceived impact.
